From August 13 to September 6, you and your family are invited to check out Red Deer’s coolest pop-up art installation - free of charge- in Capstone!

Imagined by the creative minds of Calgary’s B!G ART, the OpenStory exhibit consists of interactive portals which, when combined, tell a visual story of space, science and community that is both intriguing and inspiring. Find these in Canada 150 Square and the Ross Street Patio from 10 am - 10 pm each day, as well as in the Troubled Monk during their business hours. Additional doors for photo opportunities are installed at the corner of Alexander Way and Taylor Drive, as well as the former CPR Train Station downtown.  A Vision door in the Brad Remington Homes Sales Centre showcases the vision for a revitalized downtown Red Deer and depicts a modernized riverside community which will one day be home to 5,000 new residents - you can visit it during their business hours.

While you are in Capstone check out some of our OpenArt community programming! Free art classes and demonstrations, dancing and recreational classes, music, food trucks and more. See our complete list on the Summer Events Calendar .
